STORIES, TIPS, AND ANECDOTES

THAT'S WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY

We have a deep knowledge of Malaga, and what we do is provide fun experiences to travelers who value that.

Some travelers explore on their own, while others, perhaps like you, know that a guided tour can change their perspective of the city (from a statue to a tile).

Stories, tips, and anecdotes that enrich any experience. That’s what we dedicate ourselves to.

We are official guides, and besides guiding people through Malaga, we strive to create vivid images in the mind that emotionally connect with the places we showcase.

WHY SHOULD YOU TRUST US?

STORIES CONNECT WITH PEOPLE

Experts say that this page is meant to talk about what we can do for you and connect with you.

Alright.

So, we should tell you here that with Málaga Paso a Paso, you will enjoy more. A good tour, a truly good one, can change the perspective of a city for any traveler.

But we should do it subtly, without giving ourselves too much importance, without claiming to be the world number one or TripAdvisor super champions. We shouldn’t appear desperate for you to book with us.

The focus should be on the reader, that is, on you.

In other words, we have to convince you, excite you, and persuade you without pulling out our official guide card.

Then, what we need to do is tell a good story, preferably a personal one. The English tourists call it storytelling.

Some time ago, on a flight from Málaga to Paris, I was sitting by the window. I took out a book and started reading to avoid getting bored during the two-and-a-half-hour flight.

Suddenly, the girl next to me who was listening to music takes off her headphones and says:

-Interesting… You’re Spanish, right?

-Yes, I am Spanish. And what is interesting?

-The title of the book you’re reading.

She was French. It could be heard from her accent.

-Are you going to Paris on vacation?

-No. I am a tour guide in Paris.

-Oh la la… You must know a lot of things then.

-Well, I suppose.

-Tu sais… sorry… Do you know? I actually like Málaga much more… j’adoree…

-It’s a very special city, but Paris… it’s a city with lots of monuments and many people visit it.

-Yes… but I like Málaga more. She insisted.

I looked at her surprised and she added:

-I like it more than Paris because Málaga doesn’t need to have its neighborhoods full of monuments for people to come.

I had never heard someone from outside Málaga say something like that. The usual things people say are:

  • Kilometers and kilometers of sunny and salty horizon.
  • A city with a thousand years of history that has seen five civilizations. -Streets that speak all languages.
  • The conversation continued until the end of the flight. I learned that her name was Chloé and she was from Paris, studying at the famous Sorbonne.

To this day, we are friends and, thanks to her, we are also guides (the ones with official accreditation) in Málaga.

Chloé (the Parisian) always says that people want experiences, to live experiences… more than just talking about monuments, schedules, official guides… they want to talk about the day they will never forget…

ONCE UPON A TIME

MALAGA PASO A PASO TOURS

Well, that’s it.

They say that with these stories, you connect with people. They make people trust. By now, you should trust us a lot.

And finally, we need to include a button for you to take action, you know, a button that takes you directly to our tours.

So that you can book or not. But to do something, in the end.

Is everything okay?

Let’s summarize it for you:

We are guides. That’s what we’re good at.

Other things, not so much.

We have good and bad days.

We like the sun, the beach, and telling stories about Málaga to take away.

We also enjoy living in Malaga. That’s it.

If you like the sun and also want to discover Málaga to enhance your experience, you should join one of our free tours. Booking is free.

And the sun keeps shining.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with!

Julio Hiraldo

Official Tour Guide

Hello! My name is Julio and I am an official tour guide certified by the Junta de Andalucía. After completing my university studies, I was offered the opportunity to show the main monuments of the city to small groups of foreigners and students visiting Málaga, along with some colleagues from university.

After several years of training in this profession, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and travel to different places around the world, living in England, Australia, and Italy before returning to my roots in 2018. The knowledge and experience I gained allowed me to appreciate the values, culture, and way of life that characterize Malaga and its province like never before.

Juan Manuel

Guide & Speaker

Hello! I’m Juan Manuel from Málaga. I have a degree in History and a degree in Tourism from the University of Málaga. I had two significant loves in my life: Paris and Rome. I dreamt of being with one of them someday. I first set foot in Paris in May 2014. In that moment, I knew that a part of my life had to be connected to the City of Lights. For two and a half years, I worked as a tour guide in Málaga. Then, I set course for Paris to experience the Parisian adventure. With me, you will travel through time along the streets that witnessed heads rolling for a dream called Liberty. You will understand the bohemian spirit of the Belle Époque as you walk through the streets of Montmartre. And you will discover that Paris is the party that Hemingway described in his story. Will you join the party in Paris? Come with me and discover its stories and secrets.
